Biography of Shaikh Zakaullah Saleem

After completing the memorisation of the Qur’an at a very young age in Pakistan, Shaykh Zakaullah Saleem continued his journey of seeking knowledge and gained the Masters degree in Islamic Studies in Markaz Dawah Salafiyah in Satyana Bangla. The course of Dars Nizami which he completed is a 8 years course in which the 6 famous books of Hadith are studied, with books of Fiqh, Tafsir, Usul Al-Fiqh, Usul Al-Hadith and other standard Islamic sciences.

Shaykh Zakaullah Saleem then worked in numerous roles such as teaching at an Islamic Institute, research fellow at Darussalam International in Lahore and Imam & Khateeb at various mosques. He has been leading the Taraweeh prayers for over thirty years.

Shaykh Zakaullah Saleem joined Green Lane Masjid as an Imam and Khateeb in 2002 and is currently the Head Imam of this Masjid. He has been since his settling in UK, delivering lectures and Khutbahs in several mosques and Islamic centres throughout the UK.

He obtained Masters in Islamic Education from Markfield Institute of Higher Education in 2014.

His services to the community:

Shaikh Zakaullah Saleem was the founding trustee of 3 Masajid in Stoke on Trent (Markaz Tawheed, Markaz Huda and Markaz Sunnah) which are very active in promoting Quran and Sunnah.

He is also one of the founding trustees of Ar-Rahmah Trust, which works towards the welfare of orphans, particularly orphan girls, as well as many other charitable projects such as water pumps and wells, food distribution, free eye camps and free sewing training for poor and widowed women.

Shaykh Zakaullah Saleem is also currently the Head of the English Dawah of Markazi Jamiat Ahl e Hadith UK and is very active in this.
