Shaykh Munir Qasim son of Shaykh Abdul Rahim (R) was born in 1953.

His studies and teachers

After leaving high school Shaykh Munir Qasim attended Jamia Muhammadia in Okara, Pakistan where he studied Arabic language & literature, Tafseer and Hadith for 4 years.

Some of his teachers were:

1) Shaykh Munir Uddin R

2) Hafiz Muhammad Lakhvi R

3) Shaykh Muhammad Ishaq R

After that, Shaykh Munir Qasim went onto continue his studies at Jaamia Talim Ul Islam in Mamu Kanjan where he studied Islamic History and Advanced Hadith under his teachers:

4) Hafiz Muhammad Binyamin R

5) Shaykh Abdul Rashid Hazarvi R

Shaykh Munir Qasim then went onto higher education at Jaamia Salafia in Faisalabad where he studied and specialised in Hadith and Fiqh (Jurisprudence) under his teachers:

6) Hafiz Muhammad Abdullah R

7) Shaykh Ali Muhammad R

8) Shaykh Sanaullah Khaanwi R

After graduating, Shaykh went onto study at Jaamia Muhammadiya in Gujranwala where he studied Bukhari & Muslim and gained an Ijaaza in Hadith. His teachers were:

9) Muhaddith Hafiz Muhammad Ghondalwi R

10) Hafiz Abdul Mannan Noorpuri R

11) Shaykh Muhammad Abdul Hameed Hazarvi R

During his time studying, Shaikh Munir Qasim remained as a resident Imam and khateeb in Aymanabad for two years. He also travelled all over Pakistan delivering lectures and speeches in cities such as Lahore, Faisalabad, Saahiwal, Mirpur, Gujranwana, Gujrat and Jehlum sharing staged with the likes of Allaamma Ihsan Ilahi Zaheer, Shaykhul Quran Muhammad Hussain Shaikupuri and many others.

His teaching and Milli roles in UK

In 1976 Shaykh Munir Qasim came to the UK and for 37 years under the supervision of Shaikh Abdul Aziz Ibn Abdullah Ibn Baaz R,

Shaykh Munir Qasim spent this time as a da’ee working with Daarul Iftaa.

He was appointed Imam and Khateeb in Mohammadi Masjid Ahlul Hadith in Bradford and he spread the message of Islam for a total of 27 years.

Immediately he joined in the Da’wah in Alum Rock Birmingham which later transformed into Green Lane Masjid Ahlul Hadith, Birmingham. Shaykh Munir Qasim travelled the whole of the UK for da’wah and shared stages with the likes of:

a) Shaykh Fazal Kareem Asim R

b) Shaykh Mahmood Mirpuri R

c) Shaykh Sharif Ahmed Hafiz

d) Shaykh Suhaib Hasan

e) Shaikh Abdul Hadi Al-Umri

f) Shaykh Hafiz Ullah Khan

g) Shaykh Shoaib Ahmed Mirpuri

h) Shaykh Abdul Razzaq Masood

And many others.

Shaykh Munir Qasim was elected Nazim e Tabligh for Ahlul Hadith UK for 5 years and then Vice President for 3 years.

In 2011, Shaykh Munir Qasim opened Markaz Al-Furqaan in Bradford with his 3 sons:

a) Ustadh Abubakr

b) Qari Umar (Graduate of Jaami’a Umm Al-Quraa Makkah)

c) Qari Uthman Qasim (Graduate from Umm Al-Quraa and now studying in Kuwait)

Shaykh Munir Qasim is still involved in Da’wah work Alhamdulillah and regularly travels across the UK delivering mesmerising lectures and speeches.
